Warehouse Roulette - Britax B-Ready, the Stroller Ninja

I've been bugged by Jenn and others to write posts on the blog for a long time, but I didn't want to have to figure out what to write about while staying somewhat on topic. So the obvious solution was to write about random things in the warehouse. Warehouse roulette! To make it fun and very random, I put all of the warehouse locations in a box, mixed it up and drew a location.
Look what Army Man pulled this week! A9L4! I was really concerned about this location at first. I thought I would be writing about tape guns or random office supplies and their various attitudes. Ever notice how the glue sticks are always slacking in the box while the pencils are cooperative and lay right? And the paper clips? They are worse than cats high on glue with a wide open cat door: always escaping, running around everywhere and chasing the birds up utility poles.
I’ll have to save the office supply post for another day because this week I drew the Britax B-Ready stroller! This stroller is a stroller ninja. It does the crazy impossible with two kids and is available in all black for undercover operations. With the optional accessories, like the second seat or bassinet, you can have two kids facing any direction with a stroller that has the footprint of a single stroller. There are 14 different ways to combine the seats. Click on the picture for a bigger version to see all of the combinations. It really is impressive.
This isn’t the first double stroller with the footprint of a single stroller. We’ve used Phil & Ted strollers for years. The Phil & Teds is an amazing stroller too. It’s smooth as glass and the tires are big enough to go anywhere (and it’s strong enough to hold three big kids. The third sits on the foot rest). The Britax B-Ready takes the doubles stroller in a single stroller’s body to a whole new level though. If you look at the different combinations, you’ll see ways to combine a pumpkin seat with a bigger kiddo, or two pumpkin seats. Even two pumpkin seats facing different directions! Crazy! Kapow!
One of the things that just drives me crazy is seeing a poor mom with a long “limo” double stroller or a side by side “wide load” double stroller. They are so big and heavy and cumbersome. I can’t image trying to heft one of those into a Mom Tank (SUV). Where do you put stuff after loading the stroller in the back? It’s no wonder the dog likes to sit in the front.
If you have two kids, you have to get a stroller like the Britax B-Ready. They are a little expensive, but if you buy it when you only have one kiddo in anticipation of having a second, it is much more reasonable. As an added bonus, at no extra charge, you’ll feel like a rock star when you’re out and about (especially at an airport). People don’t notice the second kiddo at first, but when they do, it’s the most amazing thing they’ve ever seen and you’re hailed a genius. Then they have to show everyone they’re with and a crowd draws a crowd. We finally started carrying business cards with the Cotton Babies information because we were tired of explaining over and over where to buy one.
Looking around the box, the box isn’t terribly exciting. The most interesting part was the mattress style “UNDER PENALTY OF LAW THIS TAG NOT TO BE REMOVED EXCEPT BY THE CUSTOMER” sticker. So when you get the box, feel the power and tear that sticker off! Power to the people!

  1. So how about it's transforming ability for "Mass Troop Movements" (aka public transit) For those of us who have to fold AND take 2 on the bus with us, lol! Right now we actually take 2 umbrella strollers to do the job. (You know when I have the extra hands)
