There's just something so precious about a newborn. One of my favorite gifts to give is a bumGenius Newborn cloth diaper. Not only is it practical, but it's something mom can keep long after the baby has outgrown it as a reminder of their small start. My daughter also loves using bumGenius Newborns on her baby dolls too, which can be handy if you have an older child that always wants to "help" with the new baby.
Each Cotton Babies prize pack include a bumGenius Newborn cloth diaper and a pair of bumGenius BabyLegs. To enter, just tell us what your favorite item for a newborn is. It can be your favorite gift to give, the best thing you received as a gift or something you use every day for your little one. I loved a deep purple blanket that I knitted while I was pregnant with my daughter. Every time she was having trouble falling asleep, we'd cuddle her up in the blanket and she'd be fast asleep in no time. It even got the nickname, Plus Five as in +5 to sleep (we are gamer geeks!). I'm looking forward to wrapping up the new baby in it come December too!
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I love most for baby is that one certain blanket that she favors more than all the others.....she's been sleeping with it since she was swaddled and still to this day!!! to us it became very important!!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say my favorite thing is my fleece blanket or any warm blanket. When I am staying somewhere over night I always bring my oversized fleece blanket with me. I can you can say it is my security blanket. What I love about it is when I am cuddle up on the couch or in bed with our lil man that blanket is cuddling around him as well. I am able to lay him skin to skin and have my blanket wrapped around us.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say my breastfeeding pillow is my best newborn product. My second would be my cloth diapers because that's what you do most those first few months feed and change .
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love swaddle blankets. Used them from day one with my first born and he was so cozy and peaceful in it. I am due with my second child in a few weeks and I am so excited that I have experience this time:)
ReplyDeleteThe cute newborn cloth diapers and wool covers.
ReplyDeleteI love giving Sophie the Giraffe
ReplyDeleteI always give Sophie the giraffe and swaddle blankets (that are really big enough to swaddle).
ReplyDeleteFor diapering, we can't live without spray bottom cleaner (I use California Babies). Otherwise, I always give burp cloths because it seems like you can never have enough for a newborn.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing for a newborn is there coming home outfit from the hospital! This outfit will always hold so many memories for me and I'm sure for most mommy's.
ReplyDeleteswaddle blankets
ReplyDeleteOur girls are only five days old but so far I've been grateful for all the blankets and hats my mother has made: the hats are the only ones that fit and the simple cotton receiving blankets have been good for a thousand purposes!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely zippy jammies! Fumbling with snaps in the middle of the night is no fun!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite newborn item was/is definitely a good carrier. With my firstborn, it was nice to use a sling to calm her once in a while. With my second daughter it was absolutely essential, as I needed free hands to keep up with my toddler! Hard to believe, but I imagine it will become even MORE essential if we are blessed enough to add a third child in the future!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have gotten anywhere without my Moby wrap.

Love the swaddle wraps with Velcro- I always give some to friends. My daughter loved her swaddle wrap and I hope our soon-to-be new little one loves them too!
ReplyDeleteI would say swaddle blankets and pacifiers
ReplyDeleteA & A swaddle blankets. The Ultimate baby NEED. so good for everything, nursing cover up (because it's cool and the air flows through), car seat cover (same reason and it blocks bugs and sun!) and the softest most comforting blanket! My favorite!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing that I received was my nippy. It was the perfect multi-tasker!
ReplyDeleteBoppy not Nippy.
DeleteMy go to shower gift has always been diapers-diapers-diapers and a dishwasher basket for bottles. It makes me feel good to know that I am giving something to make the new parents life a little easier so they have more time to spend with their new little bundle of joy.Im one month away from being a new parent myself and I know Ill appreciate every gift we receive for our new baby.
ReplyDeleteThe sensory blanket one of my friends made for her. Now she uses it as a lovey!
ReplyDeleteI have been giving personalized burp cloths to my friends' new babies after getting one when our daughter was born. There is something so special about seeing your new little one's name on an item.
ReplyDeleteOur moby wrap has been an essential item at our house! I would never get anything done without it! Other fans have been receiving blankets, you can never have enough with a newborn and these are a fav gift to give :) the other essentials in our house that are also great gifts that. We have given because we love them so much, cloth diapers, a diaper sprayer! And wet bags!

my favorite NB gifts are always anything homemade with love. it doesn't matter to me what it is. just knowing that someone thought of me and my baby and took their time to create something unique is always very special.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE bouncy seats with a vibrating component. Both my boys just had 'good vibrations' when I would turn that on and would settle right down :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Moby wrap. It helped me survive those first few weeks and beyond. I can't wait to used it again in a month or so for the new babies!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite item for a newborn was our cradle! Fit right next to our bed and was perfect fit for our daughter.
ReplyDeleteI love little baby booties. They are too cute and look so sweet on little baby feet.
ReplyDeleteBurp cloths and the moby wrap. I'm practical.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be the extra soft blanket I got for my baby shower for my daughter. She will not go to sleep with out it. She is upset if she see someone else with it. The blanket is an instant fix to any boo boo. my favorite gift to give is baby knee pads its so hard on the knees when they start to crawl and no one thinks to get knee pads. But they make a world of difference.
ReplyDeleteWe received a beautiful crocheted blanket from our church..i never expected so nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat i use and love the most are cute little cloth diapers! Theyre adorable!
My favorite thing is a new coming home outfit for our sweet baby. I've done it with everyone and looking forward to doing it with this little one too!
ReplyDeletebreastfeeding pillow makes everything so much easier
ReplyDeleteI love her hand-stitched quilt! She does tummy time on it every day!
